Brookstone Iconvert Negative\ Slide film converter does not work properly on all PC's. I have installed the software on both a Dell Laptop and Dell Desktop PC. It works on the laptop, not on the desktop. When trying to aquire the scan , the desktop PC crashes to blue screen of death. Contacting Brookstone and OVT (manufacturer) did not help. markyp00

I got this and managed to scan 24 pictures before the camera in th iConvert Photo Scanner failed. The problem isn't with the software but the hardware. And well of course I can't buy just the scanner . Brookstone shame on you for sell such horrible items.

Cons: Not enough light for darker slides , have to scan and reposition slides in the carrier to get MOST of the slide in. Took THREE tries on each slide tray to get it right and took me 20 minutes; I'll be dead and gone before I can slide my hundreds of slides in. Color Resolution/Depth and LED light are inadequate. Software is terrible.
