I have a Vintage Air Gen 2 evaporator box and I've heard that you can use a stock late model GM compressor with it; the compressor I have is from a 98 Camaro (my car is an LS1 conversion). But, Vintage Air says that it won't work, because it's a variable displacement compressor .
