Lp Converter For Forklift

Clark C500 propane conversion . I’ve been having issues with my fuel system on my forklift for a while so I finally upgraded it with an Impco. Clark C500-50 or 60. All the tags are missing but it picks up 5k. Engine: Waukesha D176G. Carburetor: Zenith 13293C. The machine has been sitting outside forever.

If your lift has a Impco/Nolfs model J converter /regulator, it will have two fittings for engine coolant. The model J was probably the most common converter for 4 cylinder propane lift engines. There is also a valve in the converter that can cause icing up if the rubber seal on it has decayed. You may also have a bad diaphragm in the converter .

Both are lp (liquefied petrol,same as propane ) i made an adapter from an old fuel line for a forklift and a coupling. Will keep firing and miss firing as long as i keep the starter engaged. Cleaner and quieter than any other forklift .
